How do you select show names?
Though an arduous process, the T-GAAP team deliberates long and hard.... okay, no — it just happens. Usually the show name becomes "obvious" because of something we said that made us laugh or a topic that seems to be one of the major points of the podcast.
Do you guys know Charlie Sheen?
Of course not. Duh!
Where did you guys meet one another?
Who says we have? Let's see Guy #1 & Guy #3 are brothers so do the math. Guy #2 is there to keep the Brother's Reschke™ (Guys #1 & #3) from engaging in fisticuffs. “Do I have to stop the car and separate you two!?” The answer is Yes!
With all seriousness aside, Guy #2 is a friend of Guy #1 and Guy #3 knows him because Guy #1 is Guy #3's brother. All three Guys formally met at an Apple Store for the Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) launch — yeah and we've got the t-shirts to prove it.
Why do this?
Simple. We have a passion for Apple products. We also have opinions that are often prescient — if not at least entertaining. Many years ago all of us found Apple products just work. The need for IT departments to set up this or prevent against that or provide "standards" was just too much. Apple products just work, out of the box. And they work well. When they don't, we'll let you know (... like AppleTV2's inability to consistently download HD movies well).
Where are you located?
On the internet of course. But when we're not on the internet we're located in the Portland-Metro Area (Oregon) and in Southern Oregon. On purpose seldom will you find us in the same location — because of security reasons. What if someone were to blow up the studio we were all in? There would be no one to run the website or do podcasts! That's a serious security risk that we take seriously.
